MTP05 Plumbing Fundamentals – Tools, Safety, Codes, and Realistic Trade Expectations   

This foundational course introduces students to the essential tools, equipment, and materials used in the plumbing trade. Emphasis is placed on jobsite safety protocols, personal protective equipment, and OSHA compliance. Students will learn how to read and apply plumbing codes, as well as gain a realistic understanding of daily trade work—including tasks that require physical endurance such as attic, trench, and garage work. By setting accurate expectations, this course prepares future plumbers for the varied and sometimes demanding environments they will encounter.
